I got this info from a friend. It will be nice if you can share with others.
You are in a hurry to catch the train. You pack all your stuff and frantically run out in the hope of catching an auto. You come out and see 5 autos standing at the corner. You thank God and ask them - "Majestic chaloge kya??” The Answer is "Rs 200 hoga!!”. "Kya?? It just cost Rs 100 till Majestic". "Bahut rush hai sir!!". You move on to the next auto, to try your luck and surprisingly, you have the same conversation "Bahut rush hai sir!!". Finally you give up and bargain the price to Rs 170 and hope you don't miss your train.
Sounds more than familiar??
You stand on the road and keep on asking the passing autos for a ride to your destination - if it's not your day, the autos will not even bother to stop; if you're a bit lucky they might actually slow down to hear your destination's name and think for a second (i always wonder if they are calculating their net profit) and then speed away. However if you are luckier, the auto guy might quote an exorbitant price and then speed away. But if it's your extremely lucky hour of the day, you might end up getting an auto which is ready to take you to the destination at meter price.
In my six years of existence in Bengaluru, these experiences have been really instrumental in teaching me great virtues - Patience and Tolerance. But at what price??? exorbitant rates, extremely rude behavior and what not ......
After years of feeling used, i set out to find the answer for this misery - was there no government system that could bring these auto guys to justice? As a citizen, how can i express my concern?
This search took me to the Koramangala RTO office (BDA complex) and to my surprise i found that there did exist a government system which i believe 99.99% of Bengaluru is unaware of !!
The System
Note the vehicle number (KA-XX-YY-ZZZZ) and email the details to transcom@kar.nic.in. Based on the prefix XX (for example KA-01), complaint will be sent to one of the ten RTO offices in
Alternatively, one can also call these offices at the number given below based on the vehicle number prefix and directly lodge a complaint.

Once the complaint is received at the corresponding office, a notice is issued to the address of the vehicle’s registered owner, requiring him/her to turn up at the RTO office within 7 working days. Every RTO has about 10 IMV’s (Inspector of Motor Vehicles) who seize the vehicles which don’t report to the RTO.
The penalty levied from the auto-waalas is rs.100 under section 200.
The various offences among others for which one can lodge a complaint
- Refusal to come to destination (Any destination!!!)
- Demanding excess fare
- Using rough language
- Cheat the public, for e.g. taking longer routes.
- Faulty Meter
There is also a helpline number - 080-22353785 available Monday – Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm on which one can call to lodge complaints.

What’s wrong with the system?
- Lack of Awareness among the
- The system is inefficient in data gathering- emails or phone calls cannot be stored and processed properly, leading to ineffective use of these complaint data.
- Converting these complaints into notices issued to vehicle owners is still a manual process
- Limited government officials to handle
So, will our impatience always have to take a backseat? Can something be done to improve/compliment the system to make it more effective? Will we get a better platform to raise our voices democratically?
Dell Streak 5-inch tablet phone
Where do touch phones end and tablets begin? Well, the 5-inch Dell Streak is certainly bound to push the border further than the HTC HD2 and its 4.3-inch screen. The tablet moniker is actually misleading since the Streak has got full GSM voice and data capabilities along with 3G and HSPA under its belt. That sounds very phone-like to us.
The 10mm-thin Dell Streak runs a customized Android 1.6 Cupcake UI. No worries though, Dell should deliver a v2.2 Froyo update later this year for a serious speed boost. Still, the Snapdragon processor should be fast enough even at Android 1.6, though the 256MB RAM seems a bit low, some smartphoneshave double that amount.

The screen on the Streak is a 5-inch TFT with WVGA resolution (800 x 480) with multi-touch support. The sheer size is definitely an edge in web browsing versus phones and it also has a built-in GPS receiver with Google Maps.
Other features include a 5MP auto-focus camera with dual-LED flash and a secondary camera for video calling (take that iPad). The retail package also comes with a dock with HDMI out.
Watch Kevin Andrew from Dell talk about the Dell Streak and give you a quick video demo. First he calls it a tablet, then he goes on to say he’s used it as a primary phone. Gosh, this thing weighs 220 grams so that really shows some dedication. Kevin naturally admits he's used a Bluetooth headset to do most of the talking on the Streak.
The Dell Streak will be available exclusively on O2 UK starting on 4 June but pricing info hasn’t been announced yet. It should be available from O2 stores and also Carphone Warehouse and Dell online stores.

The only thing that keeps him alive is the quest to find the love of his life, Natasha (Barbara Mori). A woman, engaged to another man, but surely destined for J. A woman, who comes into his life like a bolt of lightning, and changes it forever.
Analysis
Though the story of ‘Kites’ comes from old school (read: There’s nothing new about this plot), the modern day cinematography, choreography, direction and editing make this one worth a watch.
Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori live upto the hype that has been created. Their on-screen chemistry is one to watch out for. Barabara makes an impressive Bollywood debut with this flick. Kangana Ranaut, however, doesn’t have much of a role and the spotlight remains on just the handsome couple, Hrithik and Barbara.
Anurag Basu’s direction takes ‘Kites’ to a different level altogether. He has excelled behind the camera, and the neat, crisp editing has complemented the film. ‘Kites’ is worth a watch...

Lack Of Hydration Leads To Shrinking Of Grey Matter, Making It Difficult For People To Think
Make sure you drink enough water every day its not only good for your body,but good for your brain too,for a new study says that grey matter can shrink without hydration.
Researchers have found that failing to drink enough water can make grey matter shrink,making it difficult for people to think so,dehydration not only affects the size of the brain but also how it works,the Daily Mail reported.
According to the British scientists,just 90 minutes of steady sweating can shrink the brain as much as a year of aging.
Starved of water,the grey matter is also forced to work harder to process the same information.Over days and weeks,lack of fluid could impact on performance at work and school,and on exam results. But there is no need to panic because after a glass of water or two the brain quickly returns to normal,say the researchers at Kings College London.
For their study,the researchers scanned the brains of teenagers after an hour and a half of cycling.Some exercised in three layers of sweat-inducing clothing a binliner worn next to the skin,a hooded chemical warfare suit and a track suit.Others were more lightly clad in shorts and t-shirts.
Those who were wrapped up lost around two pounds in sweat and their brain tissue had shrunk away from their skulls,the study found.
Lead researcher Matthew Kempton said: We saw a general shrinking of the brain tissue.Fluid filled cavities in the middle of the brain expanded and there was a corresponding shrinking of the brain tissue.The people who lost the most weight had the most shrinkage of the brain.
On average,the amount of shrinkage equated to 14 months of age-related wear and tear,or the withering away associated with two and a half months of Alzheimers disease.
The sweaty students did just as well when asked to play a computer game that tests the ability to plan and solve problems.But scans showed they used more of their brains to do it,according to the findings published in Human Brain Mapping journal.

magic pill to live beyond 100 years
London: Scientist are working on a project to develop a "magic pill" that would allow people to live beyond 100 and be fit and healthy.
Researchers have identified genes that extend life and prevent diseases including Alzheimer’s, diabetes and cancer, reported dailyexpress.co.uk.
Professor Nir Barzilai, a researcher into the ageing process, told experts at London’s Royal Society that the drugs could be on sale in 18 months.
One key factor seen in people who reach 100 is high levels of "good" cholesterol high density lipo-protein (HDL). Pro fessor Barzilai, from New York’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine, found centenarians who had this were protected against Alzheimer’s.
"Global pharmaceutical companies Merck and Roche are developing a drug which will promote the increase in HDL," he said.
The pill would be taken in your 40s or 50s. Though talking on other perspectives he added: "There will be issues, such as pensions and social security, but from a medical perspective it's better to stay healthy".

Database should have full backup (.bak file). It can be restored using following two steps.
